Emily and Kevin's wedding in Lenk in the Swiss Alps was so special, so different and filled with so much love - there couldn't have been a wedding more "them" than this one. And although there is so much to tell you about this awesome celebration, we feel like we could never tell you enough about them. Or to make you see what we see: two people that touched us in a way only few ever did. But we'll try to give you the tiniest glimpse into their story:
A British girl and a Swiss boy met on the other side of the world and fell madly in love. After some very happy years, last year Emily had to fight cancer (she is a performance artist and even created "gift", a performance about her life with cancer). Now they've not only beaten this, they are also (after chemo quite unexpectedly) waiting for their little wonder of a baby to arrive and celebrated their wedding in such a beautiful and unique way:
A groom getting ready on a camping site surrounded by the Swiss Alps, a bride who based her whole 40s inspired wedding look on her post chemo curls, an emotional first look next to a little cabin, a bilingual ceremony held by their closest friends and family including a Celtic handfasting ceremony, afternoon Welly wanging, and the wildest late evening traditional British dancing party at Buehlberg.
Em and Kev, thank you for letting us inside your world and making us a part of your story. We are happy to not call you our clients, but our friends! <3
