Where to begin when telling you about our South Africa adventures? The wildlife (we encountered penguins, whales, ostriches, baboons and dassies pretty much on the same day), the lovely people (like these two absolute babes), the amazing vegan food or breathtaking landscapes? Exploring South Africa’s Western Cape and finding beauty, and the most amazing locations to shoot in, on every corner was just the best thing ever and we simply can't wait to be back very soon and discover more of this country!
But as beautiful and fascinating nature is in South Africa, there is still the back story about this location we shot in, that needs to be told: You probably heard that Cape Town is experiencing a severe water shortage due to insufficient rainfall and fast declining dam levels. The Western Cape region has gone without significant rains for more than three years. And by now, Theewaterskloof Dam, the city's main source of water, resembles a sandy wasteland.
