Ohh - The Saums - zwei ganz Besondere! Es gelingt ihnen auf wunderbare Weise, wahrhaftige und einmalige Augenblicke einzufangen. Mit ihrer erfrischenden und natürlichen Art kann man sich nur wohlfühlen. Man spürt ein ehrliches Interesse an den Menschen, die sie begleiten. Ihnen gelingt es mit ihrer Leichtigkeit und dem besonderen Blick für das Schöne, einzigartige Momente festzuhalten.
Es vergeht kaum ein Tag, an dem wir uns nicht an unseren Bildern erfreuen. Erinnerungen, die für immer bleiben und zwei Menschen, die man ins Herz geschlossen hat.

Pia and Christian are really just special people who fit into our wedding like a glove. Loads of our wedding guests were asking who our friends were who had agreed to do our photography- because they just fitted in with our palls, captured all the laughs and giggled along too!
When we first met them, they really payed so much attention to our story, how we met, what was important to us and what kind of traditions we might bend. Total professionals, had scouted all the locations for first looks before we had brushed our teeth in the morning, we even realised we were a car short the night before and Christian drove me up the mountain to our reception. They really work as a pair too, having so many angles and eyes just really caught the intimate and the big moments in our day.
They are just great people, who happen to be amazing photographers, who captured so many beautiful memories for us. a great experience from beginning to end.

Die Saums. Mit diesem Namen würde ich niemals das Wort Hochzeitsfotografen oder Dienstleister in Verbindung bringen. Viel mehr erschleicht mich das Gefühl von Freundschaft, Freude, tiefe Dankbarkeit und ich ertappe mich dabei, wie ein Lächeln sich über mein Gesicht zieht. In einem Satz? Sehr schwierig. Wie wäre es mit: Zwei unbeschreiblich schöne Menschen mit hochauflösenden Kameras.
Ich würde es nicht Erfahrungsbericht nennen, sondern eher eine gemeinsame Abenteuer-Reise. Sie sind mit uns nach Israel geflogen ohne zu wissen, was uns erwartet, und haben unsere Hochzeit genau so eingefangen wie sie war. Einzigartig. Voller Magie und Schönheit – sowohl die Bilder als auch die Beiden.

Beim Anschauen der Fotos - und wir schauen diese so oft an - erleben wir unseren Tag immer wieder aufs Neue und bekommen Gänsehaut. Es ist unfassbar wie Eure Fotos die Gefühle des Tages widerspiegeln. All das verdanken wir Eurer Leidenschaft, Hingabe, Nähe und Eurem unglaublichem Einsatz - selbst beim zwischenzeitlichen orkanählichen Wetterumschwung. Von unserem ersten Treffen an hatten wir so viel Spass mit Euch und fühlten uns durch Eure herzliche Art in jeder Sekunde pudelwohl. Wir sind begeistert - von Euch und Eurer Arbeit! Fühlt euch gedrückt und sicherlich bis bald!

I have sat down to write this review of Pia and Chris (the Saums) at least 3 times now. I've struggled to come up with the right words that adequately describe how much we love Pia and Chris and how much our experience with them truly meant to us.
My husband, Andrew, and I are both wedding photographers who live in the US. We decided to elope in France and actually hired a different wedding photographer. In the weeks leading up to our wedding, we had some major difficulties with our wedding photographer - the kind where at one point we didn't even know if he would show up. Before things got to that level of bad, I had an inkling that he might not capture the real us or that it would be awkward AF and we might not love our wedding photos. Knowing this, I began to look for a photographer to do a session while we honeymooned in Paris - so that at the least, we'd have some fun photos of us in Paris.
I came across the Saums work and loved their style. I wrote to them a few weeks before our wedding to explain our situation and Pia responded immediately. She was the voice of calm I needed. Not only was she thoughtful about what we were dealing with in regards to our wedding photographer, she was truly interested in knowing us and taking our photos in Paris. This was a huge deal. If you're looking for someone to document your wedding day, you want someone who is invested in having a personal connection with you. It's going to matter in the end. How much you spend means nothing in comparison.
Understanding our situation, Pia and Chris even went as far as to block our wedding date off their calendar and were willing to drive from Germany to France at a moment's notice. If I could go back in time, I would have said to heck with the money we had spent on our wedding photographer and hired the Saums as his replacement. Because at the end of the day, having someone who wants to be there and cares about you as a client is equally important as the quality of their work or the price they charge.
We love Chris and Pia and cannot speak highly enough of them. They are professional, courteous, take amazing photos and are just nice people. They are the type of people you want to be there on one of the most important days in your life, the ones you want to give that intimate access to. So hire them. The end.

Was soll man sagen, schaut euch einfach mal diese Bilder an! Pia und Chris sind super sympathisch, unkompliziert und es macht einfach Spaß mit ihnen zu arbeiten. Multitalente wie die beiden sind in der Fotografie selten zu finden. Sie beherrschen Hochzeiten genauso wie Mode-Kampagnen, Editorials und Videos. Und: Sie übertreffen sich bei jedem Shoot wieder selbst. Auch in Fragen Webdesign sind die Saums die richtigen Ansprechpartner.
Liebe Pia, lieber Chris, es war mir jedesmal eine Ehre, mit euch zu arbeiten und ich hoffe auf noch viele gemeinsame Projekte! Favorite wedding photography couple ever - forever - of all times!
